This private day tour takes you on a summer adventure from Helsinki to Moomin World, Naantali, and the medieval city of Turku - Finland’s former capital and one of the oldest cities in the Nordics.
We start with a drive to Naantali, a lovely seaside town with colorful wooden houses and quiet streets. You'll visit Moomin World, a real-life island inspired by Tove Jansson’s books.
After Moomin World, we’ll take a short walk through Old Naantali, where kings and presidents used to spend their holidays. There’s a peaceful 15th-century church, art galleries, and a famous walking path along the water.
Next, we drive to Turku, the oldest city in Finland and the country’s capital until 1812. You’ll visit the Turku Castle, a real medieval fortress built in the 1200s. Many don’t know that this castle was once the home of Swedish dukes, and still hides secret rooms and tunnels. You’ll also see the Turku Cathedral, one of the most important religious buildings in Finnish history.
If the timing is right, we can also stop by the Medieval Market, where locals dress in old-style clothes, play music, and sell crafts - just like in the Middle Ages.
