Begin your Moomin journey with a comfortable drive from Helsinki to Tampere. There, you'll explore the world’s only official Moomin Museum - full of original drawings, miniature scenes, and stories that show how Tove Jansson created her famous characters. After the museum, we visit 1–2 local landmarks in Tampere, like the Cathedral or a scenic viewpoint, based on your preferences.
In the afternoon, we return to Helsinki for a Tove Jansson walking tour. You’ll visit real places from her life:
– the park where she played as a child
– the dock where she skated and dreamed
– the studio where she painted for over 50 years
– and statues made by her father, Viktor Jansson, with Tove as the model.
Your guide will share personal stories, fun facts, and how Tove’s real life inspired the Moomins — including the love story that led to one of the characters.
We finish the tour at the official Moomin Shop, where you can take home a special memory of the day.
